Approximately 20 Boko Haram gunmen armed with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and rocket‑propelled grenades (RPGs) attacked the police station in Ga’anda village (Lala District, Gombi LGA) at about 9 pm. The attackers arrived in cars and on motorcycles, chanting “Allahu Akbar.” They surrounded the station, fired rockets, threw homemade bombs and grenades, setting the building and a police patrol vehicle ablaze. A two‑hour gun battle ensued, in which two police officers were killed and a third sustained gunshot wounds. The attackers, who had superior firepower, reportedly escaped into neighbouring Borno State after the raid.

Suspected Boko Haram Islamists launched coordinated attacks on a prison, a police station, and a local government office in Konduga town, Borno State, located about 35 km from Maiduguri. The assault, which began at about 8:00 pm, involved gunfire and explosives. The police station was set ablaze, and the prison was attacked, although there were no reports of a successful jailbreak. Three police officers were wounded. The attackers also reportedly destroyed two churches – a Roman Catholic Church and the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (Ekilisaya Yan’uwa a Nigeria) – using sirens to pose as security agents and catch the town off guard.
Operating from pick-up trucks and motorcycles, heavily armed Boko Haram fighters executed a sustained, two-day sweep across three farming communities on the outskirts of Maiduguri: Mallan, Kesa Kura, and Manjita. The attackers specifically hunted young men, executing eight farmers under the accusation that they were secretly members of the Civilian JTF (vigilantes) aiding the military. After the executions, the insurgents razed all three villages to the ground and looted the freshly gathered harvest, livestock, and 13 bicycles before retreating.
