A large contingent of Boko Haram insurgents — estimated at approximately 40 fighters — on motorcycles attacked rice farmers working in the Koshebe area of Zabarmari village, Jere Local Government Area, Borno State. The victims, who had traveled from nearby communities and as far as Sokoto State (approximately 1,000 km away) to find seasonal work, were harvesting rice when the insurgents surrounded them. The attackers tied up the agricultural workers and systematically slit their throats; approximately 30 of the men were beheaded. Rice crops worth millions of Naira were also destroyed. Survivors were forced to witness the slaughter. A local fisherman, Muhammad Sani, who was captured with over 50 others and forced to watch the killings, survived. Some victims were as young as 12 years old, helping their parents or relatives on the farm.

Gunmen attacked Barkin Ladi community in Plateau State, killing one resident and abducting two others.

Boko Haram gunmen attacked a Joint Task Force (JTF) military checkpoint at Mariri Quarters, Kano, along the Wudil–Maiduguri Road. A fierce shootout ensued. At least four people were killed: two Boko Haram gunmen and two civilians (a man and a woman) caught in the crossfire. Additionally, one soldier and one policeman were reported killed in some accounts. Security forces arrested five suspected Boko Haram members during the operation. The attackers reportedly disguised themselves in vehicles and motorcycles before opening fire.

Boko Haram gunmen carried out a reprisal attack in Dawashe village, near Baga town, Borno State. The assault targeted civilians, mostly fishermen and traders, killing more than 20 people. The attack was in retaliation for an earlier confrontation with a vigilante group (Civilian JTF) that had challenged Boko Haram in the area. The gunmen opened fire indiscriminately, leaving widespread casualties and fear among residents.
