Cycle notes

Mirrored earlier attacks s including 24 August 2019 – Gajiram raid involving killings, abductions, and vehicle looting, 31 October 2018 – Dalori/Kofa attacks combining assaults on civilians and security-linked locations, 27 December 2020 – Hawul raids targeting police stations and local security elements, 31 January 2021 – Dikwa attack involving abduction of police personnel and seizure of vehicles, and 18 July 2019 – Damasak abduction targeting state-linked personnel, collectively reflecting a recurring pattern in which Boko Haram conducts opportunistic attacks on lightly defended security units—killing or abducting personnel while seizing patrol vehicles and equipment—to degrade local state presence and replenish its own operational capacity under sustained military pressure.
