Dr. Rabe Nasir, the Katsina State Commissioner for Science and Technology, was assassinated at his residence in the Fatima Shema Estate, Katsina metropolis. The 65-year-old former House of Representatives member was stabbed in the stomach in his sitting room; his body was then dragged into a toilet and locked inside. His lifeless body was discovered on Thursday afternoon, 9 December 2021, after his house boy raised an alarm upon noticing traces of blood. On the way, hoodlums identified as miscreants pulled him out of the tricycle, stabbed him to death, and pushed him out near A.Y. A group of approximately 20 suspected Boko Haram gunmen launched a coordinated attack on Mainok village, a town under Kaga Local Government Area along the Maiduguri-Damaturu-Kano road.
