Gunmen stormed the Zawachiki Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano State, and abducted a resident, Aminu Abdullahi. The police received a report of the incident at about 7:45 a.m. the following day, Sunday, 24 August. The Divisional Police Officer of Kumbotso then led a patrol team to the scene.
