Gunmen attacked Boto village in Tafawa Balewa LGA, Bauchi State, killing one person and abducting three others.

In a high-intensity daylight engagement, Boko Haram insurgents launched a direct assault on a military checkpoint in the Ajilari-Railway Cross suburb of Maiduguri. Two soldiers attached to the Joint Task Force (JTF) who were stationed at the checkpoint were shot dead by the gunmen, who arrived on tricycles and opened fire with AK-47 rifles. The insurgents attempted to escape in a Volkswagen Golf car but were pursued by JTF soldiers. In the ensuing pursuit, the vehicle crashed, and four of the attackers were killed by security forces. A large quantity of arms and ammunition, including 14 AK-47 rifles, were recovered from the vehicle. The JTF field operations commander initially denied any soldier deaths, but independent sources confirmed the fatalities.

Boko Haram gunmen attacked a Joint Task Force (JTF) military checkpoint at Mariri Quarters, Kano, along the Wudil–Maiduguri Road. A fierce shootout ensued. At least four people were killed: two Boko Haram gunmen and two civilians (a man and a woman) caught in the crossfire. Additionally, one soldier and one policeman were reported killed in some accounts. Security forces arrested five suspected Boko Haram members during the operation. The attackers reportedly disguised themselves in vehicles and motorcycles before opening fire.
