At about 11:30 p.m., amidst heavy rainfall, unidentified armed men invaded Shema Quarters in Dutsin-Ma LGA, Katsina State. They kidnapped about nine residents in what appeared to be a targeted operation, as the houses raided were precise.

A group of armed Bandits/terrorists ambushed a convoy of traders along the Koro–Egbe route, a rural corridor connecting Koro in Ekiti LGA (Kwara State) to Egbe in Yagba West LGA (Kogi ). The traders were travelling to the weekly Ebu Market Day when the attackers intercepted multiple vehicles, forced passengers out at gunpoint, and marched an unspecified number of traders into the surrounding forest. The exact number of victims remains unknown as authorities have yet to issue an official statement.

A large group of armed gunmen (Bandits), dressed in military camouflage and some wearing the same school uniform as the students, breached the school's perimeter by cutting through a hole in the fence. The attackers held the staff and students for several hours before forcing them out of the school premises and into a nearby forest. One student, Benjamin Habila, was shot in the head and killed when he tried to escape

Edgar Raupach, a German construction engineer employed by Dantata & Sawoe Construction Company, was abducted at approximately 8:00 a.m. while working at a construction site along the Zaria Road highway. Three gunmen arrived in an Opel Vectra, handcuffed him, forced him into the vehicle, and drove away. Raupach was held in captivity for over four months. During that time, Al‑Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) issued a statement claiming responsibility, demanded the release of a German woman imprisoned for supporting a foreign terrorist network, and released a video of the hostage. While in captivity, Raupach was moved to an enclave near Bayero University Kano.
