One person was assassinated in the Lassandi area of Jalingo. In a separate incident, Dr. Wallace George, a medical doctor with the Federal Medical Centre, was attacked in his house behind the Catholic Cathedral, Mile 6, Jalingo, by unidentified gunmen.

Hundreds of Boko Haram insurgents drove into Benisheik town, Kaga LGA, in a convoy of over twenty vehicles, including two light armoured tanks painted in military colours. Dressed in stolen Nigerian Army uniforms and armed with anti‑aircraft guns, the insurgents forced the local military outpost to retreat, burning hundreds of homes and shops, and sacking the local government secretariat. They then barricaded the Maiduguri‑Damaturu highway, using the captured military vehicles to set up illegal checkpoints, where they systematically executed travellers, singling out people from Borno State. The attack lasted well into the night, with insurgents leaving the town around 3:30 am on Wednesday.

At around 5 am, nine gunmen dressed in Nigerian Army uniforms set up a fake checkpoint on the highway near Logumani (also spelled Lugumani). They blocked the road with their motorcycles and ordered motorists to get out of their vehicles. The attackers shot five people dead and used machetes or knives to slaughter 14 others, then set fire to three trucks before fleeing into the bush after a phone call warned them that soldiers were approaching. The village lies about 30 km from the Cameroonian border and 90 km from Maiduguri.

Bandits attacked three communities in Lafiagi district, Edu LGA, Kwara State. They abducted a businessman and a woman, and killed one person.
