Approximately twenty gunmen, suspected to be Fulani Bandits, invaded the Ganawuri community at night. The attackers went on a shooting spree to disorganize the community before specifically targeting the residence of Reverend Musa Hyok. They killed the pastor and his two sons, Emmanuel Musa and Mang Musa, in their home within the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) church premises. The attackers also burnt down houses during the raid.
