A large group of Bandits on motorcycles attacked Gidan Shaho, a community located about five kilometers from the Zurmi LGA headquarters in Zamfara State. The assailants surrounded the village and, in a "well-planned" operation, went from house to house, specifically selecting their targets. They proceeded to burn local grain silos, houses, and shops. During the raid, Mande (aged 50) was shot dead, and Dodo Roba (aged 60) sustained gunshot wounds and was taken to the General Hospital in Zurmi for treatment.
