On Monday, suspected bandits led by one Sanusi Dan Dutsinma attacked Gidan Dufe village in Kankara LGA, Katsina State. The group, which operates from its base in Babaro village (also in Kankara LGA), killed a woman, injured several others, and rustled an unspecified number of cattle. The attack has sparked fear among residents, who called on security agencies to intensify efforts in tackling banditry in the area.
