At about 8:00 pm, gunmen attacked the Chinchim community in Mangu District, Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State. The assailants struck while residents were in their homes, using mostly knives to kill their victims. At least eight people were killed in the attack.

Response
Mangu LGA Chairman Emmanuel Bala condemned the attack and confirmed the incident. GAFDAN denied involvement and urged security agencies to investigate. Troops of Operation Safe Haven reportedly repelled coordinated attacks on multiple Mangu communities. However, state government and police spokespersons had not responded to inquiries at the time of reporting.

Governor Mutfwang noted that Mangun District and adjoining areas had "for over a month suffered coordinated terrorist assaults resulting in daily casualties and mass displacements"

Boko Haram fighters invaded Fuhe village to steal livestock. The Fulani herders repelled the attack, killing one militant. Believing they had the upper hand, the herders decided to pursue the fleeing insurgents "once and for all" to end the cycle of attacks. Armed Boko Haram insurgents stormed Amarwa village in a nighttime raid. The attackers shot indiscriminately at villagers and set fire to homes. According to militia leader Ibrahim Liman, two residents were shot dead, and two others died from smoke inhalation or burns after being trapped in burning houses. The attackers also looted food stocks before fleeing. Several villagers sustained injuries and were evacuated to the Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri
Boko Haram insurgents launched a coordinated heavy-arms assault on a military formation in Damboa. Moving in a swarm formation from the nearby Sambisa/Alagarno forest fringes, the attackers overwhelmed a security detachment. In the fierce firefight that followed, ten Nigerian soldiers were killed.
