Suspected armed herdsmen launched a deadly attack on the Tiv-dominated community of Tse Yange in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, late on Sunday, 15 June, continuing into the early hours of Monday, 16 June. The assailants, arriving on motorcycles, killed the village head, whose name has not been released, and abducted an unspecified number of residents. Many others were reportedly injured, and several homes were deserted in the aftermath.

Fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) raided a military base in the town of Buni Gari, Gujba Local Government Area, Yobe State, approximately 60 kilometres (37 miles) from the state capital Damaturu. The terrorists arrived on several trucks armed with heavy guns and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), attacking the base in a fierce gun battle. They killed at least 11 soldiers, seized weapons, burned down the base, and destroyed several military vehicles and buildings. Videos of the aftermath viewed by an AFP reporter showed the charred remains of an armoured military vehicle, burning military trucks, and the decapitated body of one soldier lying on the dusty ground with its severed head beside it.

Boko Haram gunmen attacked Maiha town in Adamawa State, storming the Divisional Police Headquarters and other government facilities. At least two policemen and several civilians were killed in the initial raid. The insurgents set fire to the police station and other buildings, looted shops, and terrorized residents.

In a sustained overnight assault, a large group of heavily armed gunmen stormed the village of Karshin Daji. The attackers targeted residential homes and church-affiliated buildings, utilizing a combination of high-caliber firearms and arson. Among the victims were two prominent local religious leaders (Pastors) and their families. Survivors reported that the attackers intentionally blocked escape routes to maximize the death toll before retreating into the neighboring hills as the sun rose.
