A group of about six armed Bandits disguised in veils stormed Tudun‑Fulani village near Bangi in Rijau Local Government Area, Niger. The attackers targeted Hadiza Alh. Mande, a resident of the community. When she attempted to flee for safety, the assailants opened fire and shot her, injuring her in the process. A combined team of police officers and local vigilantes was immediately mobilised to the scene following a distress call. The victim was rushed to the General Hospital in Bangi, where she was reported to be responding to treatment. The attackers fled before security forces arrived. Police confirmed that frantic efforts are ongoing to track down the suspects and bring them to justice.
