A gang of armed Bandits attacked Unguwar Kade village in the Mada district of Gusau LGA, Zamfara State, around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The attackers stormed the community on motorbikes, opened fire indiscriminately on residents, and killed three people, including a woman and a teenager. The assailants left three others injured, some in critical condition, before fleeing the scene. By the time joint teams of security forces and local hunters arrived, the gunmen had already escaped into the surrounding forest. The bodies of the victims and the injured were taken to the hospital. Authorities said security patrols in the area had been intensified and investigations were ongoing.
