The abduction triggered a rapid response from security forces. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Matazu mobilized Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) patrol teams to the scene in an effort to intercept the kidnappers and rescue the victim . However, the suspects had already fled before security operatives arrived . Police authorities confirmed that intensified surveillance and tracking operations were ongoing to locate the kidnappers . The victim was successfully rescued on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at approximately 4:00 pm at Maharba village in Matazu LGA following sustained search efforts by security operatives . He was taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, for medical evaluation and later reunited with his family . The Katsina Police Command confirmed the abduction. The Matazu LGA Chairman stated that security operatives were tracking the Bandits.
