During the coordinated early-morning raids that swept through Katsina State, Kurechin Dutse was hit as part of a "synchronized carnage." Bandits armed with AK-47s invaded the community around 03:00 hrs. This specific attack was part of a broader retaliation by Bandits groups following an incident in nearby Danmusa LGA where local vigilantes (Yan Sakai) had allegedly burned Fulani settlements.
