Residents of Bandawa community in Karim Lamido LGA, Taraba State, cried out over alleged deadly attacks by unidentified armed actors, seeking urgent government intervention.

Boko Haram launched its deadliest attack in months on Maiduguri in a rare, coordinated combined assault. Four suicide bombers struck multiple locations around the city. At one site, a vigilante tried to tackle a bomber; the explosion killed the bomber and three others. A female suicide bomber entered a crowd of worshippers leaving evening prayers and detonated. Simultaneously, dozens of insurgents armed with guns and petrol bombs attempted to invade Maiduguri through the Jiddari Polo suburb, engaging soldiers in a gun battle that lasted over two hours before being repelled. Homes were set on fire, and residents fled in panic.

ISWAP (Islamic State West Africa Province) gunmen attacked the police station in Gajiram, headquarters of Nganzai Local Government Area, Borno State. The attackers engaged the police in a gun battle, killing four officers. Some of the victims' bodies were set on fire by the attackers.

Boko Haram fighters arrived on foot late Friday evening, having left their vehicles at a distance to avoid detection. They stormed the village, slit the throats of four male residents, abducted two others, and looted food supplies before withdrawing after about an hour.
