Boko Haram insurgents attacked Gajiram town in the evening, firing heavy artillery and arriving in several four-wheel vehicles. They looted houses and shops, carted away foodstuffs and livestock, and set some vehicles ablaze at the local government secretariat. Four people were killed during the attack.
