Armed Bandits attacked Daule village in Safana LGA, Katsina State, killing 4 residents. The attack was part of a larger, coordinated assault on multiple villages across Danmusa, Dutsinma, and Safana LGAs between 12:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on 18 April 2020, which killed a total of 47 people. According to Katsina Police Command spokesman SP Gambo Isah, the violence escalated after a local Yan Sakai vigilante group "started setting ablaze some Fulani settlements at Aibon Mangwaro village" following an initial repelled attack on Kurechi village. The attackers then launched "organised and simultaneous attacks" on six villages, including Daule .
