Gunmen attacked New Fobur (called Fusa in Izere language) in Jos East LGA, Plateau State. Five persons were killed and one person was kidnapped during the raid.
Boko Haram insurgents riding motorcycles and bicycles attacked Pallam village late Monday night. They shot sporadically, burned houses and shops, looted food, and abducted residents. The attackers also looted a medical clinic and killed a security guard there. As the insurgents were leaving the village, they encountered a group of vigilantes on patrol in neighboring Kuda village. A shoot-out ensued, and the vigilantes killed two of the attackers. The attack lasted approximately five hours.
Suspected kidnappers invaded Jamari Village, Alkaleri LGA, at around 1:30 a.m. and abducted two male residents: Abdullahi Jauro Buba (40) and Maikudi Mohammed (35).
