Two brothers were severely injured in a machete attack by suspected herders in the Mile 90 bush area of Kukawa Local Government Area, Borno State. The victims, Abba Gana Tijani (40) and his younger brother Kaka Abubakar Tijani (35), were working on their farmland when they confronted a group of herders who attempted to graze their cattle on the farm. The confrontation quickly turned violent as the herders, angered by the resistance, allegedly pulled out machetes and attacked the two men, inflicting deep cuts on their heads and right legs. The victims were evacuated to the General Hospital, Monguno, where they remain hospitalised and are responding to treatment.
