Armed Bandits attacked Hunkuyi town, the administrative headquarters of Kudan Local Government Area in Kaduna State, late Monday night. The assailants stormed the town, firing sporadically to scare residents before launching their assault. They killed one person and abducted another. The deceased was later identified as Aminu Shehu, a 40‑year‑old resident who was shot in the leg during the attack and later confirmed dead at the General Hospital, Hunkuyi. The abducted victim is Alhaji Shehu Dakin, a well‑known businessman. The kidnappers have since contacted his family via his mobile phone, demanding a ransom of ₦100 million for his release.
