The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Rantya Division and the Officer in Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Jos, mobilized to the scene and are combing the bushes to rescue the victim . The Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Adesina, has directed the Area Commander Bukuru to deploy all DPOs and Tactical/Patrol Teams within the metropolis to join in the ongoing operation and ensure the safe rescue of the victim . At the time of the report, no contact had been made to the family .

At night, Bandits attacked multiple communities in Kajuru LGA (Tundun Ibru, Doka, Chibiya, and Ungwan Madaki). They killed five persons and kidnapped about 20 others. Villagers attempted to chase the Bandits but were unsuccessful. The body of a pastor, who was among those abducted, was found the following morning.
Gunmen suspected to be Bandits stormed a Kwara State Government road construction site along the Sabaja/Owa-Onire Road. The assailants attacked in broad daylight, overpowering the workers before whisking them away into the nearby forest. While initial reports cited five victims, subsequent updates from family and community sources indicated a total of seven individuals were taken, including engineers, laborers, and a driver.
Heavily armed Bandits blocked the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari highway between Kuriga and Manini, near Udawa in Birnin Gwari LGA. The attackers intercepted a convoy of commercial and private vehicles that was travelling with security escorts, forced the vehicles to halt, and then selected an unspecified number of passengers for abduction—mostly women and children. Before retreating into the forest with their captives, the Bandits set eight vehicles ablaze, including several 18‑seater buses and a truck, leaving them as charred shells on the highway. The chairman of the Birnin Gwari Vanguards for Security and Good Governance, Ibrahim Nagwari, confirmed the attack and advised residents to stop using the road until the security situation improved.
