The Chairman of Patigi Local Government, Hon. Ahmed Rufai Adam, convened a critical security meeting and stated: "Yes, I am in a very serious meeting on the issue as we speak" . Residents have resorted to prayers following a meeting held three days ago, while appealing to the government to intensify efforts and send reinforcements . Security operatives including soldiers and vigilantes are trying but most times attacks happen before they can reach the scene .

Bandits attacked Karaduwa community in Matazu LGA, Katsina State, abducting the traditional leader.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., hundreds of heavily armed terrorists attacked the Abuja–Kaduna bound train (AK9) between Katari and Rijana in Kaduna State. The attackers planted Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on the track, forcing the train, carrying an estimated 970 passengers, to a halt. They then surrounded the coaches, opened fire indiscriminately, and forcibly abducted scores of passengers into the surrounding forest. The assault, which lasted several hours, killed at least 10 persons, injured dozens, and resulted in the kidnapping of 62 passengers
At approximately 5:00 pm on Friday, suspected armed bandits ambushed operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) along the Yantumaki–Danmusa road at Dafa village in Dan Musa LGA, Katsina State. The officers were attached to Operation Sharan Daji and were on transit when the bandits struck. One officer, CCA Adamu Abdullah, 37, was killed in the attack. Four other personnel sustained injuries: DSC Abdullah Usman, 40; ASC Dikko Sabiu, 42; ASC Haruna Bello, 35; and CCA Kabir Dalhatu, 29.
