Response

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the attack. The Kwara State Government condemned the killings, and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq directed the Army Headquarters to relocate the General Officer Commanding 2 Division to Kwara to coordinate operations. The Nigerian Air Force conducted airstrikes on Bandits locations in the area in response. The police later arrested five suspects in connection with the incident.
