The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Udeme Edet, confirmed the killing on Monday, September 29, 2025 . She stated that the police were yet to establish whether Biam was killed by his own associates or by rivals, and that the command was on the trail of those behind the killing . On September 30, 2025, police operatives arrested one suspect, Teryila Kpogh, said to be a member of the criminal network of a feared Bandits kingpin known as Chen . The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has since taken over the probe, with security agencies intensifying operations to track down fleeing accomplices . The Chairman of Ukum LGA, Jonathan Mordi, declined to comment on the incident .

Boko Haram terrorists on motorcycles stormed the predominantly Christian community of Kwapre in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The attackers arrived around 8 p.m., firing sporadically, looting food supplies, setting houses and shops on fire, and killing two Christians.
Suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists launched a deadly attack on Tunbun Rogo, a fishing village in the Kukawa LGA of Borno State.
