Dr. Maiwada Raphael Galadima (Agom Adara III), the paramount ruler of the Adara Chiefdom in Kaduna State, was abducted by gunmen along the Kaduna-Kachia road at Maikyali village, Kachia LGA. He was traveling from Kaduna to his palace in Kachia with his wife, Victoria Galadima, and his driver, Timothy Katari. His police orderly (Sergeant Clement) and three palace guards were killed at the scene.
A series of Bandits attacks began on Mada community in Zamfara State. Armed men killed one vigilante and abducted seven residents during the raids.
At approximately 2:00 am, dozens of heavily armed Bandits in large numbers breached the security of Bethel Baptist High School in Damishi, Chikun LGA, Kaduna State. They broke through the fence, overpowered the school’s security guards, and moved systematically to the boys‘ and girls’ hostels, shooting sporadically to create panic before herding a large group of students into the nearby forest via a bus belonging to a parent. At least 140 students were missing after the attack. Police spokesman Mohammed Jalige confirmed the attack, stating that the Bandits “overpowered the school’s security guards and made their way into the students hostel where they abducted an unspecified number of students into the forest”.
