Gunmen attacked a mining site in Woko community, Borgu LGA, Niger, killing two and injuring five.

Approximately 20 Boko Haram gunmen armed with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and rocket‑propelled grenades (RPGs) attacked the police station in Ga’anda village (Lala District, Gombi LGA) at about 9 pm. The attackers arrived in cars and on motorcycles, chanting “Allahu Akbar.” They surrounded the station, fired rockets, threw homemade bombs and grenades, setting the building and a police patrol vehicle ablaze. A two‑hour gun battle ensued, in which two police officers were killed and a third sustained gunshot wounds. The attackers, who had superior firepower, reportedly escaped into neighbouring Borno State after the raid.

Hundreds of Boko Haram insurgents, numbering between 200 and 500 fighters and dressed in military uniforms, launched a coordinated, multi-pronged assault on multiple military installations in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital and birthplace of the insurgency . The attackers, arriving on motorcycles and in approximately 20 pickup vans and captured military vehicles, targeted the Nigerian Air Force base, the 33 Battalion army barracks, military checkpoints, and the Maiduguri International Airport. They also attacked a trailer park, police stations, shops, petrol stations, and residential and public buildings, leaving a path of destruction several kilometers long

Unidentified gunmen invaded the residence of Rev. Daniel Umaru of the Ekklesiyan Yanuwa 'a Nigeria (EYN) Evangelical Church of the Brethren Njairi in Mubi LGA, Adamawa State. They shot him and his two sons, who died instantly, and abducted his 13-year-old daughter. His wife, who witnessed the attack, was left in a coma. Rev. Umaru survived but was critically injured and hospitalized.
