The swift intervention of the Area Commander, Kazaure, alongside the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Yankwashi, and personnel of Operation Salama, prevented further escalation of the violence . Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident . Stakeholders' engagement is ongoing to promote dialogue and ensure lasting peace in the area . All corps members in the affected area have been evacuated to the Yankwashi Local Government Headquarters for safety . A group of armed men attacked a Christian gathering in Mubi, Adamawa State. The victims had assembled in a private house to mourn Simeon Asor, an Igbo trader who had been shot dead the previous night at the Good Will Hotel. As the mourners organised the repatriation of the body to their home state of Anambra, two gunmen on a motorcycle arrived at the compound, shot dead the security guard at the gate, and entered the hall where they opened fire on the defenceless crowd with Kalashnikov rifles, chanting “God is great” as they shot. At least 17 people were killed and about 15 others wounded in the attack.

The communal crisis that began on Thursday, October 18, at Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru LGA spread to the Kaduna metropolis on Sunday. Violence erupted at approximately 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Mararaban Rido and Sabon Tasha areas of the city, then spilled over to Tudun Wada, Central Market, and Ahmadu Bello Way in the city center. The violence involved the burning of tyres along major roads (including Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway and Ahmadu Bello Way), looting of shops, gunshots, arson of houses, and attacks across communal lines.
