One person was killed and four injured in a farmers–herders clash in Komi community, Funakaye LGA, Gombe State.
A series of coordinated attacks and ambushes on farming communities in Bali, Ussa, Takum, and Yangtu LGAs. Victims were mutilated, and entire settlements razed. The lawmaker noted the killings were part of a two-month surge of violence.
A Fulani herder, Abdullahi Yusufa, was shot dead by unidentified assailants while grazing his cattle around the Mounga Dosso area in Karim Lamido LGA, Taraba State. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the ribs and hand and machete cuts to the head. Four of his cattle were also shot: two died on the spot, while the remaining two had to be slaughtered due to the severity of their injuries. A relative, Ardo Ibrahim Gambo, reported the incident to security agents, who quickly moved to the scene. Yusufa was found lying lifeless and rushed to the General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.
