Armed Bandits attacked Kungurki village in Kaura Namoda LGA, Zamfara State, killing a member of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) and two local hunters.
At approximately 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, armed bandits stormed Godai village in Bukkuyum Local Government Area, Zamfara State. The attackers fired shots into the air to create panic, forcing villagers to flee. They abducted 12 persons, including the Village Head of Godai, Alhaji Abubakar, and his two sons (Saidu and Bello). The victims were led toward Gyado Forest. The attack occurred despite a peace agreement signed on 28 August 2025 between community leaders and bandits in Katsina State, and in the context of a declared peace deal in Zamfara.
